Holy Wow Ceremonial Cacao – Suchitepéquez, Guatemala
100% pure, whole-bean ceremonial cacao. Nothing added, nothing removed.
Holy Wow Cacao is grown by family farms in Guatemala and traditionally prepared in small batches near Lake Atitlán. The cacao is fire-roasted, hand-peeled by a women’s collective in Tzununá, stone-ground into a rich paste, and pressed into blocks.
Known for centuries as the “Food of the Gods,” cacao is more than a beverage. Prepared with intention, it can become a beautiful ritual—a moment to slow down, be present, and connect more deeply with yourself.
Suchitepéquez Cacao
This cacao comes from Suchitepéquez, along Guatemala’s Pacific volcanic coast, where it is grown by a women-owned farming cooperative.
Roasted over a wood fire in a traditional clay pot, it has a distinctive bold, toasty and nutty flavor. Its roots trace back to a region with a long history of Maya cacao cultivation.
What Makes It Ceremonial Grade?
Unlike cocoa powder, ceremonial cacao is made from the whole cacao bean, preserving its naturally occurring cacao butter along with theobromine, minerals, flavanols and other plant compounds.
Holy Wow takes a traditional, hands-on approach:
- Fire-roasted over an open flame in small batches
- Hand-peeled by a women’s collective in Tzununá
- Stone-ground into a rich cacao paste
- Pressed into blocks rather than processed into cocoa powder
- 100% pure cacao with nothing added
The result is a rich, minimally processed cacao that honors the traditions, people and places behind it.
